With a foundation in refined, seasonal British cooking, you'll have full freedom to design and evolve monthly-changing menus - from precise small plates and elegant beef tartare to vibrant Sunday roasts that bring the pub to life. You'll inherit a stable, motivated team and work alongside a supportive GM who trusts you to run the kitchen your way.
This role is made for a Head Chef who wants both autonomy and recognition , thrives in premium gastropubs or independents, and takes pride in delivering food that balances technical skill, seasonality, and genuine guest experience . Alongside the main dining room, you'll oversee private events and canapé receptions, ensuring variety and creative scope in your day-to-day
Head Chef requirements:
* Proven experience as Head Chef in an independent, quality-led gastropub or restaurant.
* Strong skills in kitchen management - rotas, costings, GP control, and supplier relationships.
* Confident in developing seasonal menus and leading a brigade across service and events.
Head Chef benefits:
* A£45,000 to A£55,000 salary + Tronc
