The successful candidate will assist engineers in developing hardware and software solutions used for the characterization and design verification testing of RF front-end modules, filters, low-noise amplifiers (LNAs), and power amplifiers.
Term: Winter/Spring Co-Op (Jan '26 - June '26)
Responsibilities
-Support the development of next-generation systems and design enhancements for existing products
-Participate in the transition to production efforts for various RF products
-Build a state-of-the-art network simulator for wireless networks, including cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, and other emerging technologies.
-Utilize Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS) for RF design tasks
-Engage in RF system design, including schematic capture and layout using ADS or Mentor Expedition
-Conduct 2-D, 2.5-D, and 3-D Electromagnetic Simulation
-Update design documentation as needed
-Perform RF test and evaluation using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and frequency generators
Required Experience and Skills
-Currently pursuing a
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
-Passion for RF, wireless, or communications technologies
-Familiarity with lab equipment and basic RF principles
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Bonus: Experience with scripting or automation tools
Desired Experience and Skills
-Coursework in RF communication, Analog IC design, control systems, signals, and systems.
-Meticulous technical documentation authoring and editing skills.
-Knowledge of software programming tools (Visual Studio, C++, Python, or other scripting languages).
-Drive to meet deadlines while held accountable to high-quality standards.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
