DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES

The ideal candidate will support the highly automated Hot Dip Galvanizing Lines + Continuous Anneal Line by analyzing reasons for production disturbances in cooperation with other maintenance and production personnel, troubleshooting unscheduled maintenance issues, and researching, developing, and coordinating work orders through completion to meet the business goals of AM/NS Calvert.
 

The Basics:

-Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalency of direct experience
-Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
 

The Extras:

-Knowledge of; heat treat systems and processes, continuous coating processes, production systems, and strip steel application
-Experience using SAP preferred

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

-Actively Participate in the HDGL Safety Program, meeting outlined requirements for: Layered Audits, Safety Meetings, Housekeeping Inspections & Shop Floor Audits
-Maintain a Shared Services Performance Dashboard with Area Manager Operations – Review/develop relevant KPI data and maintain a prioritized issue tracking document
-Involves monitoring – Reliability, Quality, Productivity & Operating Costs for Shared Services
-Develop a Continuous Improvement plan for the Shared Services predicated on this information
-Attend any relevant Daily News meetings – Support resolution of issues from the past 24h pertaining to Shared Services
-Manage HDG Zinc Inventory – develop and place Monthly orders with vendor
-Develop & maintain inventory management systems and processes for HDGL’s operational expenses
-Coordinate Operational Shared Service components of Monthly & Annual planned Maintenance Outages
-Review work notifications in SAP as part of the Gatekeeping process with Maintenance. Ensure all work is being planned through this formal process
-Maintain Operator Maintenance/Idle time work orders for HDGL Operations
-Develop and Maintain all Work Orders (Monthly, Bi-Annual, & Annual)
-Report on monthly compliance performance - Target: -90%
-Responsible for the financial approval of all PR’s relating to operating expenses. All expenses should be vetted for effectiveness & budgetary availability.
-Maintain the Tech/Financial approvals for all Rolls within HDG Technical Approval applications
-Participate in the development of the HDGL Business Plan for Operational Wear Parts and Roll Consumption
-Ensure work instructions and training documentation clearly outline all knowledge & procedures necessary for HDGL to meet performance expectations
-Ensure all operators have developed required skills outlined in the Mentor Learner Checklists for their positions
-Maintain an updated training matrix for HDGL
-Develop and Maintain all Training Documentation (MLCs, Position Tests, Deephow Training)
-Participate in the RCFA process for failures related to any Shared Services
-Complete any assigned RCFA action items
-Create, manage, and maintain purchase requisition and process for new equipment and annual services.
-Demonstrate the company values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Relationships, and Sustainability

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT
