Chef de Cuisine - Luxury Hotel
Location: Washington, D.C.
Reports to: Executive Chef
Salary: $90,000 + Relocation Assistance
A prestigious luxury hotel in Washington, D.C. is seeking an experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead its all-day dining and specialty restaurant operations. This role is ideal for a creative, hands-on culinary leader ready to drive innovation and excellence in a high-profile setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee kitchen operations and lead a team of sous chefs and culinary staff
* Develop and execute seasonal, trend-forward menus
* Manage food and labor costs, inventory, and vendor relations
* Ensure kitchen safety, cleanliness, and maintenance standards
* Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service
Qualifications:
* 5+ years as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in luxury hotels or fine dining
* Culinary degree or equivalent experience
* Strong leadership and team development skills
* Experience with scheduling, payroll, and cost controls
* Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays)
* Fluent in English; Spanish a plus
* Pre-opening experience preferred
