Job Summary
Electric Materials is seeking a dedicated and organized Entry-Level Logistics / Inventory Clerk to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to start a career in logistics and supply chain management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining a tidy and efficient warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Unload and inspect incoming shipments for damage, verifying contents against packing lists and purchase orders. Prepare and pack items for outgoing shipments, including weighing, labeling, and creating necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing slips). Maintain accurate inventory records by updating our database and conducting periodic stock counts. Organize and store received goods in designated warehouse locations. Communicate and coordinate with delivery drivers, internal departments, and vendors to ensure smooth operations. Operate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (training will be provided if needed). Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations within the warehouse.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 40 lbs.) and stand for extended periods. Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software is a plus. Strong communication skills. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
