About the Role
We are looking for a
Grower Liaison Officer – Riverland
to manage Vinarchy’s grower portfolio and coordinate grape supply across the region.
Reporting to the Grape Supply Manager – Commercial & VIC, this role ensures the delivery of high-quality fruit in line with volume targets, while building strong relationships with growers and suppliers.
You’ll play a key role in advising growers on technical programs that support wine quality and vineyard sustainability, working collaboratively with regional teams to drive continuous improvement.
During vintage, you’ll lead site-based casual staff and oversee harvest scheduling, trucking coordination, and efficient fruit intake into the winery.
Outside of vintage, you’ll analyse viticultural data, support planning and reporting, and contribute to process improvements across grape supply and production.
Key Responsibilities:
-Administer grower grape payments, bonuses, and maintain accurate contract records.
-Coordinate harvest and transport logistics for fruit moving into and out of the region.
-Manage fruit intake at Berri and support vintage planning and programming.
-Lead seasonal staff during vintage, including weighbridge and booking officers.
-Analyse viticultural data and prepare reports for internal planning and regulatory bodies.
-Support the adoption of GIS tools for vineyard mapping and data applications.
-Ensure compliance with industry reporting requirements and winery certifications.
-Collaborate with the viticulture team to drive continuous improvement across grape supply and intake operations.
-Assist with strategic initiatives and process enhancements to improve quality and efficiency.
-Provide general support to the Grape Supply and Viticulture teams as required.
-Some out of region/hours work will be required
What We're Looking For:
-3–5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within viticulture or agricultural operations.
-Strong practical and technical knowledge of viticulture, with a Diploma (minimum) or Degree (preferred) in Viticulture or a related field.
-Excellent problem-solving, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-Proven ability in stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and team leadership.
-Commercial acumen and decision-making capability, with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with GIS platforms such as ESRI/ArcGIS.
-Valid Driver’s Licence
