Department Summary
Willie Price is the preschool/lab school associated with the School of Education. The school serves children ages two through Kindergarten. The staff works closely together to collaborate and provide a developmentally appropriate play based education for the children they teach. Willie Price is accredited by NAEYC and licensed by the Mississippi Department of Health. The school is truly the happiest place on campus and to quote one of our current students, it is "the goodest thing ever!"

Role Summary
Plans and conducts individualized therapy programs to help constituents develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily tasks.
Examples of Work Performed
-Screening all children at the school to asses for needed therapy services
-Providing play-based treatments in order to facilitate progress towards age appropriate developmental milestones
-Collaborating with teachers to make needed adjustments in the classrooms
-Collaborating with and education families to maximize carryover routines at home
-Working with staff to development weekly scheduling for children requiring services
-Helping to work with the team to develop the new Evaluation Center
Essential Functions
These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.
1. Conducts tests and assessments to gauge performance baselines
2. Formulates individual therapy programs based on patient needs and goals
3. Recommends adaptive equipment and trains constituents in their use
4. Maintains accurate patient records and prepares progress reports
Minimum Education/Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: (3) Three Years Experience
Preferred Qualifications
-Master's Degree
-Minimum of 3 years experience
-Work with children ages 2-6 preferred
