Role Overview:

The Regional Assistant supports the Regional Manager in the daily tasks of managing multiple BMV branch locations.  You will enusre office efficiency, respond to phone calls and emails, maintain the Manager's schedule, resolve escalated complaints, monitor branch inventory, assist with reports, and monitor training progress of branch staff. 

This position serves at the Evansville BMV Branch Office.  Your work schedule will be determined by the Regional Manager.

Salary:

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $34,216 but may be commensurate with education and experience.

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are:

-Maintain daily schedule for Regional Manager.
-Ensure regional staff conducts work courteously, friendly, and respectfully at all times.
-Facilitate resolution for all customer complaints escalated by the various branch locations within the assigned region.
-Provide relief and support to the Regional Manager's daily operations.
-Monitor the inventory of office products and supplies within the branches assigned to the region.
-Clarify, support, and guide branch staff in interpreting and implementing BMV policies and procedures.
-Complete records and/or submit reports on various financial and accountability processes for the assigned branches within the region.
-Ensure training, development, and mentoring of regional employees assigned to the region.

What You'll Need for Success:

You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:

-High School diploma and one year of experience with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles or equivalent service industry experience.
-Ability to interact and verbally communicate with various employees and customers, one-on-one and in groups.
-Ability to present information to clients, customers, and employees.
-Ability to write reports and operational correspondence.
-Good knowledge of BMV services and Stars.
-Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, e-mail systems, and Stars.
-Ability to travel up to 20 percent of the time to branch locations, training, or branch-related community activities.
-Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
