Job Summary:

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Extended Care Facility, for the application and implementation of established policies, and for liaison among the governing authority, the medical staff, and the departments of the Hospital. Good organizational skills are necessary for assisting in the planning, directing, and evaluating Department functions. Employs organizational strategies in a balanced approach that produces meaningful contributions to each element of the Vision Alignment Matrix . Requires the promotion of and adherence to the organization's established Compliance Program and Standards of Conduct. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.

Performance Expectations:
Consistently multitask to maintain effective operations, clinical integrity and fiscal stewardship. Analyze reports from various systems to determine priorities within strategies for success. Analyze complex issues and resolve them. Utilize critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with Leadership and Physicians. Facilitate the necessary resources and remove barriers for clinical leaders to provide exceptional quality care. Possess and apply knowledge of nursing home regulations and policies to maintain compliance. Collaborate with contract partners to incorporate best practices that ensure compliance and create a positive organizational reputation in the community. Actively engage residents and work to improve resident life, thereby making the facility a desired long-term home for resident candidates. Utilizes and leverages facility partnership with long-term care consultant vendor to optimize revenues, quality, compliance, resident satisfaction and employee satisfaction.
Qualifications:

Education/Skills

Graduate from an accredited college or university.

Work Experience:

A minimum of three years of serving in subordinate administrative positions is preferred. Additional experience may vary according to individual background.

Certification/Licensure - DUE UPON HIRE

Licensed by MS State Board of Nursing Home Administrators
